JC Aesthetics Acne, characterized by pimples or blemishes, is a common skin condition caused by blocked pores due to factors like oil, bacteria, dead skin cells, and dirt. Left untreated, it can lead to the formation of acne scars, which can be challenging to remove.

Several factors contribute to acne, including genetics, hormonal changes, environmental factors, lifestyle choices, and stress. Understanding these triggers is essential for effective management and prevention.

Acne can be classified into two main types: non-inflammatory acne, which manifests as clogged pores, such as blackheads and whiteheads; and inflammatory acne, characterized by infections caused by the presence of bacteria like Cutibacterium acnes (C. acnes), resulting in redness and swelling.

Inflammatory acne often presents as papules (red and raised lesions) or pustules (whiteheads surrounded by redness). Rapid bacterial reproduction within clogged pores leads to inflammation, requiring proper skincare and sometimes medical intervention for resolution.
